The Presidential Election of Sri Lanka held on 21st September 2024 indicated significant political changes in the country ushering into power a president from a coalition and party that have not held power before. The campaign was based on notions of radical system change, end to corruption and end to dynastic rule among others. Given these are also concerns in politics across South Asia, the conversation seeks to explore how the result of the Sri Lankan Prudential Election may or may not impact political changes in other parts of the region.
